    Compliance with the General Requirements for Accreditation for Schools, available in the Additional Information section above.

    A detailed outline of the course curriculum. Please read the Specific requirements for Accreditations for Fire Safety Director, available in the Additional Information section above, when developing the curriculum.

    Provide the description of teaching methods to be used to present each topic (e.g. lectures, discussions, practical skills exercises and audio-visual materials), copies of all written materials to be distributed including sample examinations.

    A list of instructors, documentation of their qualifications (including a resume), and a list of subjects each instructor will teach.

    A list of tuition fees, study material fees and any other fees that the students will be charged.

    Provide any affiliations held by the institution with other educational institutions trade unions or professional organizations.

    Steps to apply in person:

    Submit all required documents, as described in the Prerequisites section above, and the evaluation fee, listed below, in person or by mail to the address listed below.

    FDNY will review the materials submitted.
  • 3
    Approved instructors or institutions will receive their approval letter by mail and will be able to begin teaching immediately. Those who are not approved will be sent a letter with an explanation of why they were not accredited. These applicants can work on improving their proposals and can reapply.
